The Humphreys Group, a San Francisco-based B-Corporation and boutique wealth management firm, has merged with Treehouse Wealth Advisors, based in Walnut Creek, California.
This decision is part of a long-term succession plan, with Diane Bourdo, president of The Humphreys Group, setting a timeline of two to three years for her eventual retirement, according to a statement from her firm. The firm was formed in 1983.
"Treehouse Wealth Advisors shares our values, philosophy, and a deep commitment to individualized, high-touch financial planning. Together, we will enhance the services our clients depend on while providing continuity for years to come,” Bourdo said.
Instead of using a business broker to handle acquisition and succession, Bourdo partnered with Beyond AUM, a wealth management consulting agency, to explore a corporate match-up.
The Humphreys Group will retain its San Francisco office while gaining access to Treehouse Wealth Advisors' Walnut Creek location. The merged organization will operate under the Treehouse Wealth Advisors banner.
